POWER CONFERS AUTHORITY by Adeyinka Ojo

The Holy Spirit is given to confer on us spiritual authority by the anointing. He helps us to
exercise the authority, especially in prayer, given to us by God. He helps us to use our
authority in resisting the devil. Authority is needed to command and to rule; it takes authority
to exercise our dominion in this evil world.

We live in a realm that is controlled by the spiritual, so everything in this realm must be
authorized by the Spirit. And as a child of God, we are spiritual beings with
authority to rule in this physical realm. We rule here by faith, we command by faith, and our
authority is activated through our faith. We believe the word of God and appropriate the
blessings by faith.

'Figure of Jesus' Appears Above Colombian City Where 17 Died in Landslide (Video)

Believers in the Colombian city of Manizales, where 17 people died last week in a landslide, were reportedly left astonished after what some described as the "figure of Jesus" appearing in the form of sunlight streaming through the clouds. MailOnline  reported on Wednesday that one believer, identified as Marya de Iesus, recorded the phenomenon on video, and shared it with people online. "Jesus Christ was visiting our Colombian town, he calmed down the sky and was listened to," the woman said. The video shows a number of other believers watching the unusual light formation, with one man heard calling out in the background: "Oh, my God, my blessed God, come here to see the misery. Look at this, look at this, blessing God. Glory to the Lord. He asks: "Do you see the Lord there, standing up?" Seventeen people were killed in landslides caused by heavy rain there last week,   BBC News  reported. Mud and rocks destroyed several houses on the...

The True Grace of God by Zac Poonen

False grace” is not a 21st-century phenomenon. It was being preached even in the days of the apostles. Jude speaks of “some godless people who had slipped in unnoticed among the churches, and who had distorted the message of the grace of God in order to excuse their immoral ways” and who were teaching “that after we become Christians we can do just as we like without fear of God's punishment” (Jude 4 - Today’s English Version and Living Bible). So Peter was prompted by the Holy Spirit to write a whole letter explaining what the true grace of God was (1 Peter). At the end of that letter, he says, “I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it!” (1 Pet.5:12). So, if we study Peter’s first letter, we can understand what true grace is. Check yourself and see whether you have the true grace of God: The Holy Spirit says that the true grace of God: - Will make you live in obedience to God’s Word – and not according to the...

Hungering and Thirsting For God By Dave Butts

Hunger and thirst are natural expressions of the basic human desire and need for food and water. One of the clear indicators that something is wrong physically is when we lose our appetite. It is the same spiritually. To hunger and thirst for God is at the very root of our being. It’s the way God made us. When there is no hunger for the presence of God, it is an indicator that something is wrong spiritually. Because that hunger is so basic to human nature, it often finds fulfillment in other areas rather than in seeking God. Much as eating unhealthy junk food can dull physical appetite, so that which is not of God can dull our spiritual appetite.     This happens to non-Christians as they look for happiness and fulfillment in any area except in their relationship with God. It may be in human relationships, quest for power or money, or escape to physical pleasure. The saddest examples, however, are of  Christians  who allow their appetite for God...
