Prophetic Warning by Stanley Frodsham

THIS PROPHECY WAS GIVEN at the Elim Bible Institute USA, in 1965 by the late Stanley Frodsham. Brother Frodsham was one of those who received his Baptism in the Holy Ghost at Sunderland in 1908 where the Pentecostal movement in Britain had its beginnings. With Great Judgments With great judgments will I plead with the population of this country. Great darkness is coming upon the countries that have heard my gospel but no longer walk in it. My wrath shall come upon them. The darkness shall be so great, and the anguish so sore that men will cry out for death and shall not find it. There shall be a lingering death, famine, and great catastrophes. My wrath shall be manifested against all ungodliness. It shall come with great intensity. You have known My love but have not known My wrath, My severity. My judgments are literal and not a thing to be lightly passed over. Realize the severity of My judgments and My intense anger against the sin in My household. My judgments shall beg

4 Sexual Sins Every Christian Should Avoid

4 Sexual Sins Every Christian Should Avoid Bert M Farias Excessive sexual sin and nakedness is one of the marks of our Western culture and much of the world today. Everything is sensual. Everything must be sexy. We live in a sex-crazed world, and nakedness jumps out at us from everywhere. It is becoming more and more difficult for men and women to keep themselves in a state of moral purity. Sexual sin and neglecting the laws of purity in the body of Christ is one of the elements that can potentially bring weakness, sickness, and even premature death to many in the Church. It is one forgotten aspect of not discerning the Lord's body (1 Cor. 11:29-31). Those last statements sound so primitive in today's contemporary church. There is a lack of ministry from pastors in this area because of the fear of forthcoming accusations of being unloving, judgmental, legalistic, and ministering guilt and condemnation. Frankly, we've lost our way in this regard. Correction, rebuk

The Cross Before The Throne By D. M. Panton

The Cross Before The Throne    By D. M. Panton     Our Lord Jesus Christ summarized a vital principle of the heavenly kingdom when He said:  "Every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that  humbleth himself  shall be exalted"  (Luke 14:11). Our Lord was Himself the ultimate fulfillment of that which He taught. He humbled Himself as none other ever did or could, and correspondingly He is exalted above and beyond all.     In Philippians 2:5, the Apostle Paul not only pictures this truth but also enforces its obedience.  " Have  this mind in you,"  he says, for it is within our control and choice and therefore within our responsibility. This humility  "was also in Christ Jesus, who humbled Himself"  (v. 8),   who made Himself void by His own act (Moule). In Christ the principle is put in its most extreme form. As the span of Christ’s descent was the deepest of which the universe is capable, so the consequent enthronement is the limit whi

Reward Of Keeping God’s Word By Martin Luther

Heaven and earth, all the emperors, kings and princes of the world, could not raise a fit dwelling-place for God; yet, in a weak human soul that  keeps His Word,  He willingly resides. Isaiah calls heaven the Lord’s seat, and earth His footstool. He does not call them His dwelling place. When we seek after God, we shall find Him with them that  keep His Word. Christ says: “If a man love Me, he will  keep My words,  and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him” (John 14:23). Nothing could be simpler or clearer than these words of the Saviour, and yet He confounds herewith all the wisdom of the worldly wise. He sought to speak not in sublime but in humble language. If I had to teach a child, I would teach him in the same way.

Hungering and Thirsting For God By Dave Butts

Hunger and thirst are natural expressions of the basic human desire and need for food and water. One of the clear indicators that something is wrong physically is when we lose our appetite. It is the same spiritually. To hunger and thirst for God is at the very root of our being. It’s the way God made us. When there is no hunger for the presence of God, it is an indicator that something is wrong spiritually. Because that hunger is so basic to human nature, it often finds fulfillment in other areas rather than in seeking God. Much as eating unhealthy junk food can dull physical appetite, so that which is not of God can dull our spiritual appetite.     This happens to non-Christians as they look for happiness and fulfillment in any area except in their relationship with God. It may be in human relationships, quest for power or money, or escape to physical pleasure. The saddest examples, however, are of  Christians  who allow their appetite for God to be dulled by other t

POWER CONFERS AUTHORITY by Adeyinka Ojo

The Holy Spirit is given to confer on us spiritual authority by the anointing. He helps us to exercise the authority, especially in prayer, given to us by God. He helps us to use our authority in resisting the devil. Authority is needed to command and to rule; it takes authority to exercise our dominion in this evil world. We live in a realm that is controlled by the spiritual, so everything in this realm must be authorized by the Spirit. And as a child of God, we are spiritual beings with authority to rule in this physical realm. We rule here by faith, we command by faith, and our authority is activated through our faith. We believe the word of God and appropriate the blessings by faith.

John Piper to Parents: 5 Lessons for Children About Horrors of Hell and God's Final Judgment

Evangelical theologian John Piper has told parents that they need to teach their children about the horrors of hell, as a way to show God's glory and the coming final judgment. Piper, who is the former pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, took a question Wednesday on his  Desiring God website  from a parent concerned about what he should tell his child, who has "extreme anxiety" about death, about the topic of hell. The theologian told the parent, Michael, that it is better that his son is afraid of hell, than not be afraid at all. "God does not intend for His children to experience hell as an end, but to experience the warning of hell as a means of clarifying and establishing these five great realities. This is true for a 6-year-old and it's true for a 60-year-old. Look at this moment, Michael, in the child's life as a golden opportunity for teaching him many wonderful things," Piper said. He then listed fiv

Children, Have Ye Any Meat? by Adeyinka Ojo

God is omnipresent. Anytime men fail to recognize or acknowledge his presence we pay for the consequence. Jesus is the source of every good living. He prepares table before us even in the presence of our enemy-psalm 23 vs. 5 Jesus is much concerned about our lives. He’s interested in us. He wants to know whether we have food or not. His word says; for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities…. Jesus is a father that recognizes us as his children. He treats us as his beloved children not like an outcast or as slave, the way  religious people see it. He cares for us in every way. He wants us to see him as a beloved father who cares for us, even when we go wrong. Let’s look at the book of John chapter 21 vs. 3-7, where we took our topic from! 3. Simon peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, we also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. 4. But when the

Let The Children First Be Filled by Adeyinka Ojo

Jesus said unto her; let the children first be filled…… Mark 7 vs. 27 Jesus is a father indeed to all his children. His major concern is the welfare of his family. Early in the morning he carries us in his arms, in the night he cares for us and wipe away all our secret tears. His word says; children are the heritage of the lord. We are God’s heritage, he owns us. He cares for us. He suffers no man to do them harm and he rebuke the kings for their sake. The loving father gives food and shelter to his children. He will not allow you to be bruised. He’s not happy seeing you in that ugly situation. He’s hurt when you are hurt. He says; for the hurt of the daughter of my children am I hurt. The chastisement of your peace is upon him. He holds you in the hollow of his hands. Your name is boldly written on his palm. He says; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Jesus wants you to be filled. He says; Let the children first be filled. You are not a subject of ridicule. T

Greg Laurie on End Times Prophecy, North Korea Nuclear Threat: 'I Pray America Is Not Destroyed'

Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, has spoken out about the threat of nuclear war between the United States and North Korea, and analyzed how it all fits into End Times prophecy in the Bible. "As you know, the conflict with this rogue nation has escalated dramatically in recent days and even hours," Laurie said in a Facebook video on Monday, referring to the hostile rhetoric of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Laurie argued that Kim's threat to strike the U.S. with nuclear weapons "can't be dismissed or taken lightly." "How does this fit into the prophetic puzzle? Well, in the last days there is no mention of any nation that would resemble North Korea," the megachurch pastor offered, but said that Iran, which is present in the End Times scenario, could potentially acquire weapons from North Korea. "Here is what concerns me. We do not find the reigning superpower on the face of the Earth anywh

The Holiness Of God By Arthur W. Pink

The Holiness Of God    By Arthur W. Pink Only God Is Holy     "Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? for Thou only art holy" (Rev. 15:4). He only is independently, infinitely, immutably holy. In Scripture He is frequently styled "The Holy One": He is so because the sum of all moral excellency is found in Him. He is absolute Purity, unsullied even by the shadow of sin.  "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all"  (1 John 1:5). Holiness is the very excellency of the divine nature: the great God is  "glorious in holiness"  (Ex. 15:11). Therefore do we read,  "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity"  (Hab. 1:13). As God’s power is the opposite of the native weakness of the creature, as His wisdom is in complete contrast from the least defect of understanding or folly, so His holiness is the very antithesis of all moral blemish or defilement. 'Figure of Jesus' Appears Above Colombian City Where 17 Died in Landslide (Video)

Believers in the Colombian city of Manizales, where 17 people died last week in a landslide, were reportedly left astonished after what some described as the "figure of Jesus" appearing in the form of sunlight streaming through the clouds. MailOnline  reported on Wednesday that one believer, identified as Marya de Iesus, recorded the phenomenon on video, and shared it with people online. "Jesus Christ was visiting our Colombian town, he calmed down the sky and was listened to," the woman said. The video shows a number of other believers watching the unusual light formation, with one man heard calling out in the background: "Oh, my God, my blessed God, come here to see the misery. Look at this, look at this, blessing God. Glory to the Lord. He asks: "Do you see the Lord there, standing up?" Seventeen people were killed in landslides caused by heavy rain there last week,   BBC News  reported. Mud and rocks destroyed several houses on the

John Piper: Christians Must Prepare for the End Times Now

Christians must be prepared for the End Times, John Piper says, pointing to the parable of 10 virgins as evidence for the need to be ready for Jesus Christ's second coming and the urgency to evangelize those who are not yet saved. Piper, who serves as the founder and teacher at DesiringGod.org, says in a sermon posted to his website this week, that as outlined in this parable in Matthew 25:2-4, Christians need to be fully prepared for Christ's return, instead of just pretending to be prepared with a façade of superficial religious belief. The parable reads, in part: "Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps." The parable goes on to say that God tells believers to "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour" of His arrival, adding that the 10 women were tasked with preparing the way for the Lord, but five w
